In a few days, my duplex parking lot will be transformed into a Bavarian biergarten with blue and white checkered banners and hours of polka music on the iPod. As I ramp up preparations for what will be the largest party I have ever hosted, my mind is crunching numbers: How many RSVPs? How far over budget? How many pounds of bratwurst? One more keg? At least the important details of fashion have been decided. I will wear my dirndle and the husband has a fine pair of lederhosen. I can’t wait to kick up my heals in these adorable socks from Germany and shoes by Jellypop.
