My “When I Become a Billionaire” fantasy is unconventional. What I wish, is that there were no billboard advertisements in Los Angeles. If I had the treasure, I’d buy them all, and plaster them with art and images of nature. Someone is taking small steps in this direction, replacing the ads for dentists and realtors on bus stop benches with vibrant floral scenes. I’ve noticed them blooming all over the city for months. I just want to say thank you.
My other dream is to buy all of the vacant lots and turn them into gardens, orchards, and parks. Anyone want to get to work on that?

I’m sure there’s a non-profit out there somewhere… perhaps in another community – in fact didn’t I hear about that on NPR… here’s on piece I found… http://www.npr.org/2012/05/18/153015279/from-rooftops-and-abandoned-lots-an-urban-harvest
Here’s one more I found… I know I just recently heard a piece on urban gardens in LA area… I can find it though…

Oh, and if I obtain a large sum of money, I’ll happily provide the seed money for your project!
What a pretty bench!
Wow, jenmarie, your profile photo is very much like the other bench art around town, lovely daisies.
Awesome=) The daisies were in Seldovia, Alaska. I loved all the pretty flowers around town.
