Old School Belizean Breakfast (I'm Speaking in Creole)
I wanted to honor the request of some of the viewers to make a video completely in Creole/Kriol. I decided to do Fry Jacks or Fry Cakes, but the 1/2 recipe because this meal is the reason why I started the show. Fry Jacks can be eaten with any meal, but primarily it is a breakfast dish. Normally we have eggs with Dutch Cheese, Avocado (pears) and re-fried beans for an old school Belizean breakfast.

I had a belizean spanish teacher in middle school and I never noticed an accent with her. I didn't even realize belizean kriol was a thing til a few years ago, I only it was the only english speaking central american country.

I grew up with Grandma speaking creole!? It was just how Grandma spoke ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ when my friends didnโt understand her I would look at them like โwhat the hell is wrong with you? You deaf?โ ๐ it makes sense now why they didnโt understand. And if I stepped out of line, all she had to say was โgialโ and give me a look ๐

I love this , it makes me sad as well . it reminds me of grandparents when I was child. my dad and his family were from Belize. I remind certain parts of childhood learning Belizean recipes so I can still pass on the recipes and my grandma speaking just like this .
I love hearing you speak creole… enjoyed watching and hear you speak. Both of my parents are belizean.
Was searching on here to find a language that's close or sounds closely to jamaican patois and I'm not disappointed ๐ฅฐ๐ฏ๐ฒ
Iโve been married to a Belizean for almost 12 years. Him speaking Creole to his family helped me understand what they say.

I had never heard of this but found a cart selling fry Jack's and meat pies in the street in Belize city. This woman made it as a wrap with egg, cheese and sausage maybe some other stuff cant remember. Was amazing, not sure if it was authentic but it was delicious. I went back every day until I left for Honduras. Approval from an English guy living in the Netherlands.
Please keep making more videos. Sending love from LA, but 100% Belizean.
