Low Carb *Italian* Tostadas?! Yes!
Simple Low Carb Dish I often make. Open for Ingredients and Carb Counts!
1 lb. Ground Beef Browned and Drained 0 Net Carbs
1/2 C. Delmonte Traditional Spaghetti Sauce 10 (2 Net Carbs on my plate)
2 Slices American Cheese 1.2 Net Carbs
1Tbsp Full Fat Sour Cream 1 Net Carb
10 Green Olives 1 Net Carb
Dash of Garlic Powder 0 Net Carbs
Total: 5.2 Net Carbs for a two piece serving
Note, you can try other cheeses, and any may be microwaved on Parchment Paper as well. Be sure to watch the cooking process, as different cheeses and different microwaves can vary.
These are much more filling than any Tostada made with regular chips might be. The most I’ve ever eaten is three, although my non-low carb significant other ate 5 at one time. hehe!
If expecting company, Make several Cheese Tostada *cups* before hand. Let them cool completely, then store on the counter loosely covered or in a Ziploc-type bag. These should keep well for a few hours, perhaps more. For more fun, set out different toppings, and let guests assemble their own!
