Cereal, peanut butter, ramen, pasta, chocolates, coffee and tea. These are really cheap at my discount store.
The closest discount one us Amish and the cereal that is name brand is usually the special flavors or kinds.
The one 35 minutes from me does have the regular name brands though! So depends on the store!
Yes spices are awesome at the discount store!! I use oregano like crazy and can by it like 50-99 cents a bottle!!
I just got told there is another discount store 30 minutes the other direction from me, so I have 3 in 40 mile radius from me. I do not know if I am going to make a trip to the 3rd one anytime soon. I work in the Amish town at a school when I sub. Then our dr appointments are in the other town. The 3rd one we have no connection to. My mom said we might make a day and go just to look.
I usually stock up on healthy protein/granola bars and juice for the grandkids at my discount store. I can get Kind bars for under $4 a box (over $7 a box at Aldi). The grandkids know where I stash them and even the 1 year old goes in there asking for "bars"!π
Really wish there was a discount grocery store near me. The nearest is about 3 hours away.
I keep meaning to go to the discount grocery store… it's about 30 mins from here… totally going after this reminder
I miss our bread discount store. Shut down shortly after we moved here 11 yrs ago. Feel better!π
If youβre in Canada you can try the Flashfood app. Prices are 50 percent off or more. I dehydrated produce because I donβt have a lot of freezer space! Flashfood is hit and miss so check several times a day.
The store we go to doesn't have fresh produce . Most of their meat is frozen. They put out a ad weekly with their best buys but you can always find bargins there.
We are near an Amish community, and they send a lot of produce to our little discount store. I got $.24 bell peppers, $.20 yellow squash. We always find good produce there. I found name-brand turkey (I want to say it was honeysuckle) 1 lb package for $.69 each! I bought 2…

Great advice! Now… to find a discount grocery store….
Amanda this made me so excited to hit my local Amish discount store this week. Lol love it. You sound like your getting sick. I hope not!!! Prayers for you. Drink some hot broth π§‘π§‘
I wished we had a discount grocery store here but we don't have one in sure it's nice thank you for sharing.
Where can you find a list for discount stores? I can't find one near me.
A real coffee drinker grinds their beans, they don't drink pre-ground coffee, not matter how cheap it is!
Great video! One of the things I miss most during this pandemic is doing my monthly in-person shopping at my favorite discount/salvage grocery stores π (Due to my co-morbidities, I have to shop online these days – and my budget is really taking a hit because of it!)
Thanks for a really informative video! I didnβt even know discount grocery stores existed. While listening to this video, I found a few not that far from me and plan to visit this week! Thanks for opening my eyes to this great way to save on my food budget and hopefully find more gluten free foods. π€π» π
Great video Amanda πΉ π blessings π
At the one near my in-laws I can often find good cheese and yogurt deals. Not always, but more often than not.
Our bent and dent is run by mennonites and I love it.π It's about 35 min from me so I go a couple times a month and stock up to add to my prepper pantry. I get bags of Starbucks coffee for $3.95 and usually will buy 10-15 bags when see them because coffee doesn't go bad. Most things I buy are in date but I have bought out of date foods by a couple months and it's been fine, no ones gotten sick. I. Asked a pumpkin bread mix yesterday that was dated feb 2020 and it smelled & tasted fine. βΊοΈ
We get gluten free flour and cake mixes cookies & crackers for under $1. Gluten free protein bars like Kind, Larabar, One, and RX for like 25cents each. Salad dressings 25-50cents. Specialty bbq sauces for 50cents. Makeup for $1 etc…. I wish it had cold food and produce but its only pantry type foods, pet foods , hygiene, and household. But I still save so much money shopping there. π
Wish I had a discount store around here! Anyone know of any in NW Arkansas?
My discount grocery store always has meat like I can get pork roast for usually around $.98 a pound chicken is usually $.98 a pound breast. Chicken leg and thigh quarters are usually about $.49 a pound . I usually score on meat, vegetables, fruit and snacks. Things I do not buy at my discount grocery store is toilet paper they are double the price of everyone.
I found out that itβs dangerous to take my husband to our local discount grocery store because we end up leaving with a bunch of sugary cereals that I usually donβt get.
I appreciate all these tips!! πππ
Our discount grocery store never has any good deals on coffee π But we get great jerky deals! I just got 10lbs of jerky for $3.99 a pound!
What do u mean by discount grocery store? What are some examples of names? Thanks!
I always price compare before buying. I found that my discount grocery store was more expensive than target and Walmart.
Your discount grocery store has much better deals than ours! You have to really know your prices to save money at ours – most of the time Winco is as good or better pricing on most things.
