Ok, I'm super excited to get started and try this out but my question is about the seeds used for the sprouts, do you just use regular organic planting seeds or are they a sprouting seed? And cant you also use beans? Thanks so much, any feedback would help lots!!!
That's great, I use cheesecloth and a rubber band around the jar and re use it many times. because I rinse the cheese cloth and put it in in the freezer for storage. no molding or nothing fresh out of the freezer
youlance29, yes! In the blender. In a more savory tomato/green juice, I throw them in the blender. Tomato, lettuce, sprouts and some horseradish, sea salt and black pepper. wow. I feel like having one right now. bye. 😛
my fav sprouts are wheat-sprouts! smell is SO FRESH!!! Just Love them!
Hey , I owe therenegadehealthshow an apology. Some time ago I posted a comment that I regret. It was not rude or anything like that. It was just a comment with my oppinion about the need to eat proteins vs. only amino acids through vegetables. Anyway , It is not related to this video but keep up the good work. Im still subscribing 🙂
***** 🙂
A mix of different ones. Maybe you could show people what you could eat sprouts with? A lot of people don't know how to eat sprouts and get bored them after having them in a sandwich or over a salad. I love mine in my hummus sandwiches with tomatoes. yummm…
especially attractive when he has a beard.
You're very welcome. Happy sprouting! 🙂
Kevin i love your hair in2:00…It has the best blonde highlights and great curl! Your very attractive.
unreal! thanks guys!
I like alfalfa sprouts! 🙂 I've read it is possible for bacteria to be found in sprouts. I'm assuming if you grow your own that would be less likely, but I'm wondering if you have any thoughts on this. Thanks!
buckwheat sprouts are my favourite. i make porridge from them. i've been eating a cup a day!
i like radish sprouts at the moment too
Love you guys' ingenuity, K&AM!! Great video. 🙂
they also sell a mesh screen made of material that is not wire in the hardware store next to the metal mesh screen. It won't rust!
Sunflower sprouts. How wonderful?
MUNG BEAN sprouts!!! although i'm usually too lazy to remove the hulls after sprouting–it's okay to eat them, right?
I am a fan of the sprouts that remind me of grass. Nice earthy flavor.
Not big on the bean sprouts.
i do it this all the time, and i use the screen. So much cheaper than the jar toppers you can buy.
5 Stars
Great tips!
Mixed lentil sprouts and sunflower greens.
Alfalfa sprouts are my fav! My mom used to use a clean nylon over the top instead of screening.
Great video! Really shows how simple it is to sprout your own and cheaper too!
Thank you so much for sharing!!
Sunflower sprouts.
Lentils are my fave. They sprout so easily and quickly and I transfer them to a tray after they start sprouting, spread them out and water them either by fine mist or light drizzle a couple of times per day until they reach several inches in height, careful not to overdo it so that all the water is soaked up by the sprouts. I also do not remove the hulls. My understanding is that there is much nutrition to be had therein. If I'm wrong, oh, well! It tastes fab and I love the crunch it provides.
Really helpful video today! Mung beans and alfalfa are my favs.
Is aluminum screening ok for the mesh tops or is that dangerous? sounds dangerous but it's all I got!
radish sprouts!!!
sunflower srouts there so easy to sprout and there delicious!
sunnies are my favorite!
Hi guys, another great video, thanks. Are you really supposed to sprout alfa alfa? I know it is widely popular BUT I have heard from different sources that alfa alfa is the only one not suitable for sprouting due to canavanine present in it being poisonous to humans inhibiting imune system, triggering lupus etc.
hmm..what is oceansolution exactly ? (forgive me my spelling)
Sunflower
