MasterChef Ireland follows the second set of auditions as Dylan and Nick search for the amateur cooks who will go forward to the Final 16. In the first programme competition was fierce but just seven cooks made it through to the next round. Now with nine places left in the competition the pressure is on the remaining contestants to produce exceptional food that will impress Nick and Dylan.
From over 1000 applications from across Ireland, just fifty people made it through to the audition stage of the first ever MasterChef Ireland. Out of that 50 the Final 16 MasterChef contestants would be chosen to compete for the coveted title of MasterChef Ireland and a prize of 25,000.

Like most cooking competitions the judging is slightly fabricated. One judge says yes, the other says no when in fact both judges would otherwise say yes because to have this conflict just adds an extra flavour to the program. You can almost guess which one of these prats will say yes and which one will say no. Who is the pompous prat in glasses whose personality bypass operation was a complete success?.
Let me tell you the people they sent home could come to Americas Master chief and win on like the first day…the first dishes they prepared were awesome and I would eat it…now I know why Gordon is a beast!🤔
Astounding that the judges made the choice to completely forgo giving out the 2nd apron this round. Usually they would've been bound by the rules to do so. I guess they really thought that none of the others cooked well enough that round to deserve one, and decided that Pierce was more deserving.
Someone need to book me for a cooking show lol 😂

Errr…. I'm still surprised that I didn't get through with my deep-fried Pot Noodle coulis followed by an Angel Delight soufflé surrounded by sweet chili flavour Doritos……

It really bus the schisen out of me, when foreign nationals, are on a "National" show. Jeez, don't we all have enough of our own?
Very nice indeed. No "prima donna" judges yelling, no contestants running around bends like crazy, no "show". I am sure, that if the same spirit is held up throughout the challenge, it will be a winner.
These judges are so frigging harsh, what are they expecting from these contestants who are not even chefs.

There is no atmosphere with this Masterchef series, the moderators are dry and uninspiring. I love the pidgeon guy…
Stuart needs to take that puss off his face first of all. Number 3 Elainna is suited to Google with that attitude. Steve, get just a hunk of meat in a restaurant and you would have a problem with the customers, you are also in the right profession, lawyer. Gold in food is so pretentious. Essence of Herb spray, aw now. Pierce deserved the apron the first time.
I would guess that this show failed. The judges were morose, rude and cruel.

To make someone come back to see if they can cook savory food is just wrong!!! Why don’t they specify no desserts allowed if they are going to do that???
