I miss you so much Miss Phyllis.
I love goat cheese. It's delicious.
I'm gonna freeze the grapes I picked to use in salads and to eat with cottage cheese. Phyllis taught me so much about freezing foods. I love all of her Salads. I miss you and Mr Bucky…see you in Heaven. Love ya.

Iceberg lettuce taste like water, no flavor. I don't use it unless I have no other green to use. Oh! I love goat cheese, but then I love any kind of cheese,… Even the stinky cheese.
I so agree Phyllis. Iceberg lettuce is awesome for texture n crunch. I like flavor of it too. Guess we are old n not PC foodies! Lol
This sounds so good!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I really enjoy your videos. Have learned a lot these past few days watching them. Thank you so much. I will try goat cheese.
OH YES I LOVE GOAT CHEESE MS PHYLLIS!! I ALSO LOVE DIFFERENT ITALIAN CHEESES. THE GOAT CHEESE WENT PERFECT WITH SALAD U MADE WITH GRAPES😀💕
I still use the iceberg too. I mix it with either the spring mix or Italian mix. I absolutely love the crunch of the Iceberg. Wow that looks Amazing! Love getting new ideas from watching you. 🥗💚
Goat's milk was the only milk my mom could get me to drink when I was a child. I LOVED IT! 💙🐐🥛
💕💞💕
Beautiful!🌸🌷💐💕✝️👍🏻❤️
❤️💜💙💕💐🌷🌸😍🧡👍🏻
I’ve been cooking for 45 years, and you are teaching me some great tips, Phyllis…giving me a fresh look at making meals. Thanks so much!
Hi Phyllis enjoy watching you cook. Do you ever fry chicken livers
That looks so, so good, and I live for salads. Your salad dressing reminded me of the one my mom and grandma used to make. It wasn't the same ingredients, but just because of the fact that it's a simple, homemade dressing. Grandma and Mom made theirs with Miracle Whip, then added a little vinegar and sugar to taste. It was really good. They never used bottled dressings from the store.
Superb!! I love salads so much. Your blouse is absolutely gorgeous, Miss Phyllis.
One time when I was working at Neiman Marcus in Newport Beach, California, I ordered lunch from the store restaurant. I ordered their HUGE sauted portobello mushroom sandwich. Well, I didn't know that they were going to add goat cheese to it, so when I tasted it, it was so tangy and a bit overpowering. I didn't really like it. It does, however, have a very rich texture, which I do appreciate, but I just couldn't get past the taste. But because of your recommendation, I think I will try it again. Goats' milk was all my mama could drink when she was very small. She was very sickly and they thought she was going to die, but goats' milk helped her get big and strong. She and her baby sister slept out with the baby goats in the shed when they were little because there wasn't much room in the main house. Mama loved the baby goats. Mama told us some very beautiful stories. 💕
I bought a small package of goat cheese to try a few years ago because all of the cooking shows I watched used it. I hated it! It tasted like a goat smells! OMG!! Maybe it wasn't a good brand? I got it at Sprouts. Anyway, haven't tried it since.
You got a great deal on that blender! The warranty time is better to. This one was only 5 years. Ordering from the company was a smart thing to do.Something my Mama would have done.
I have an app that just advertised Vitamix Explorian E 310 blender for 30 percent off. You order it through Amazon. It said to set up a Prime Account user. I know you have one. I didn't know how old it is.
I haven't bought the flea spray yeat. I put a flea collar on both. The fleas are not real bad,but I want to get rid of them. I will be ordering that spray. Thank you so much Mrs.Phyllis.
This is a whole meal because the eggs are protein. Great idea on these hot days! I know you had the video about the flea spray for dogs. What is reasonable for the home? Or do you know of any remedy yourself?
I didn't know grapes could be frozen. Thank you for the info,
I love your salads. They always look so delicious.
im craving a salad now, looks very appetizing yum 🙂
Cellary is whats being used a lot, so companies can actually pretend they aren't using nitrates. But celery is a nitrate, it does the same. I am a biologist and chemist… I'm really upset about this new thing…which is a flat out lie!
Also, when u buy feta cheese, it's supposed to be goat cheese, the feta, but most of the supermarket feta is cow… If u look at the ingredients, you'll see. I was disappointed.
Me too… I can't stop eating iceberg lettuce, its got the crunchy yummm i love!! I'm with you ma'am!
Boy phyillis you like to cook it all looks good. Shirley from ga.
By the way, I don't think I have told you about myself. I think I am much older than you and I have a husband that likes your recipes too. He likes the fact that I can come up with some new ones now and then. We went from have just three people in our house to having 10 which is a lot of work for me. Our youngest son never married so he has stayed with us most of his life. Our middle child another son had two back surgeries and a knee surgery came to live with us several years ago. Then our eldest child, a daughter, who is a widow, came to live with us when all three of her children were in college. Then we took in 4 little tots, including a one day old baby when their parents got into trouble and could not take care of them. We have had them for 8 years now and we have two great grandchildren, age 7 years and 2 years who live with us also. All together that is 11, 5 adults and 6 children. Between keeping the children clean and fed and the adults fed I am working harder than I ever worked before I retired. I am a retired RN. Five of the children are in school. The one and only little boy in the bunch has heart trouble. He is 7 years old. His doctor laughs and asks me what do I think I am doing trying to do a twenty year olds job, anyway. LOL! I laugh with him and tell him it was not planned. The last 6 are accidents. The ones we planned are in their 40s and 50s. Teehee! We feel like Abraham and Sarah. I watch you and Mr. Bucky all the time and just love your videos. I feel like I know you. Now you know a little about me.
Phyllis, you are amazing. When I have trouble thinking what to cook I can always go to your site and find a wonderful and delicious recipe that is easy to prepare. Thank you.
Phyllis watching your videos is very comforting and educational, you are down to earth and have a way of pulling in your viewers like they are standing in the kitchen learning by your side
I am like you I love the crunch of Ice Burg lettuce too and just add my spring mix in with it to get the dark greens I need. I am going to look for the bacon in Wall Mart next time. I tried goat cheese once and didn't like it but I will keep trying it.
yes mama! goat cheese is the best with the sweeter salads!!
I'm loving your videos and just came across this one. What a delicious salad–every ingredient contributes the perfect taste to make a delectable gourmet salad, and the secret ingredient is great! I grew up in the South, though I haven't lived there for many years, and your wonderful demeanor, beautiful voice and accent, and interesting content are like a trip home.
G'day from Australia down under. Wonderful cooking from way back when !!!!!!!! The blackberry jam cake somethin else !!!!!🌞🍭🌈🦋🦋🦋🦋🙋💐
that salad looks amazing.
goat milk is great IF you are sure to wash the teats well, have an immaculate bucket and chill it IMMEDIATELY (unless you are making cheese). If handled properly it is delicious and it makes a great replacement for store bought milk in cakes, pies and puddings. The butterfat is dispersed thru the milk better more thoroughly . I made PLENTY of mozzarella with it and once again it was delicious and freezes well enough to be grated or sliced and melts wonderfully still. Also if the buck is kept with the does, the milk is really nasty, maybe your grandfather left his buck with the does? I never had any milk other than from my own goats… the goat cheese in the stores is good, but if you have goats and make your own, that is better. I have even made ice cream with it.
I'm like you, Phyllis. I can't stand to drink goat milk, but love goat cheese. If you got bad goat cheese, its because it wasn't kept properly refrigerated and it went off. Yes, it's terrible if it goes bad, just like bad milk. I love good goat cheese in salads. I like to get a goat cheese with herbs in it, and love it on crackers. My child loves it as well. You might also like Feta cheese, which is a brined goat cheese. If you buy the kind that is water packed in brine, it will keep for months. It's very salty but pairs well in a salad with fruit.
Miss Phyllis has persuaded me to try goat cheese. When I was in Greece years ago, I stayed in a small village. I asked my host if they had for milk for my coffee. They sent the son to the stable and he returned with a small glass of milk. I poured a few tablespoons into my coffee, and when I raised it to my mouth to drink, the aroma of the steam took my breath away. I have avoided ANYTHING goat since.
I only buy iceberg lettuce and baby spinach and I love the crunch of iceberg too 🙂
Well thank you Phyllis I learned something new today. You can bake the flour tortillas in the oven and use that instead of croutons😊👍🏼 Great tip. I have just recently subscribed to your channel and have been enjoying all your recipes and also your hard work on renovating your travel bus. What a job and it looks Fabulous!!
