Happy’s Ottawa BuzzTV Restaurants Spotlight : Todrics an Ottawa restaurant in the east end. It may be one of Ottawa’s secret gems and if you are not careful you will find yourself in the park when looking for it.
Chef Eric has been cooking for over 26 years. Todrics started out in the catering business and a few years back opened its doors for the eat in customer. Cher Eric aims to make food that is delicious and made fresh daily using as many local foods as possible. Aside from the bread, all baked goods, sauces and preserves are made in house.
You may have heard about Todrics through the many charitable events they participate in. Eric and his business partner Todd are great community builders and believe in giving back.
During the day, lunch is served and than evening meals are sit down dining. Week-ends offer a special brunch menu using bread made at the market French bakery but only for Todrics special meals. Even though they may be under the radar still, if you plan to take in Sunday brunch, a reservation is required.
They offer catering services throughout the city from Barrhaven to Manotick to Rockland and spout a few of the embassies as regulars.
There are more Ottawa restaurants are offering a gluten-free solution but they are still few and far between. Todrics may be a great find for those with Celiac or gluten sensitivity in the Ottawa area who the fine dining experience. Evening meals, tend to be gluten-free since traditional reduction cooking is the practice and bread is not a focus of the meal.

@SpiceUKMovies sounds like the spice group could maybe influence some local restaurants to start a line of gluten-free menu items.
@greenlightcoach I am not sure about that. When he described it to me he said he made the bottom of it with almonds but I may have heard him say he mixed it with graham wafers..we did not have it. He makes a lot of pies that are gluten free for sure.
Good thing abt interviews it that here are always new people, conversation, places, atmosphere.

@RebeccaHappy I am no doctor, but all I know is it causes inflammation in the body and is responsible for many brain abnormalities. My father-in-law is suffering right now and it seems to be gluten as the problem.
@EternalAdvertising1 Gluten is only nasty for those who cannot digest it. studies indicate that if you are able, it probably good for you to continue with it.
