I've had my cheap thermometer since 1987 when I cooked my first Turkey. Its reliable…doesn't need batteries…and it brings back a lot of memories
OMG Same on the knives. My Mother in Law has the wrost knives and doesn't even have butcher knife or chef knife. I can't cut with some small knife.
I LIKE BIG KNIVES AND I CANNOT LIE. LOL.
I always look for great prices but I do believe you need to invest in quality especially with kitchen tools!
My mother still has her Farberware pots that she got at least 50 years ago. I've have my set since 1996. They still all look brand new. The only thing I don't like about them: they can't go in the oven. So I've gotten all metal pots over the years. KITCHENAID mixer or something like that is an awesome thing to have. Thanks for this video!!
super impressed with your knowledge of a proper knife. I have had my chef knife for 25 years and it is solidly the best knife in my drawer.
My boyfriend has a Vitamix and my Ninja makes that one eat dirt. I put frozen açaí pulp to blend in it for an açaí bowl and his vitamix had such a hard time blending it super fine, while my Ninja because it has multiple blades all along the removable core thingy, was able to blend everything super smoothly!
And what about the airfryer, crockpot, etc? Can you make a video a tell more about them? I'm looking for recommendations :d
The one nice kitchen knife I have is a Wusthof chef's knife, and I love it! Very sharp and so much easier to use than some of my cheaper ones
Needed this! THANK YOU
So glad your misen code still works. Finally had the extra money to order the knives. Got the set of three for 107 with your code. Not bad for 3 high quality knives.
Weber Grills
pronounced Webb-ur Grills
Love the hair color!
Good information
Absolutely LOVE your hair! It looks so great on you!
I have a Blendtech that I keep at home, and a Ninja that I purchased on sale that I keep at work for smoothies. I love my All Clad and Le Creuset and Kitchenaid mixer. I also love my Global knives.
We spent about $150-200 on 3 Shun knives 🔪 and they have been so sharp and good we got rid of everything else and cleared up space in our kitchen. 👏🏻
You don’t know my husband or son! I don’t know what they do! I’ve had everything from farberware to specialty Italian pans to the copper bottom all clad pans and nothing lasts more than 2 years! My husband destroys cast iron too! They are not allowed to touch my knives! They have theirs and I have mine! Touch my chef knife and 💀
Your hair! So cute!!
Also, I used your code to buy the knives set. Let's hope I use them more than the Vitamix…haha
I bought a Vitamix years ago when they first were really popular and I used it a handful of times. I need to dust it off and start using it more. My sister is actually storing it for me now.
I've had my cast iron skillet for about 5 years. I can cook eggs in it and cleaning is pretty easy.
I never dice onions anymore because I cry too much. I always mince onions in a big batch in the food processor and then store them in the fridge and use them through the week.
I'm so bummed. I got a christmas bonus and went to buy myself a set of misen knives for christmas and they are on a waitlist
I swear by my chef knives, my Dutch oven and my Vitamix!
As an Australian- it’s a barbecue
I usually sort by customer reviews and read all the reviews 🤣🤣
why am i watching this when i'm a single 24 yo lol
I’m 74 and I’ve had my set of Cutco sets since I was 19 … love y’all
Merry Christmas 🎁🎄🎅🏻✝️
One thing I love about Christine is that she always surprises me with the funny references throughout her videos!
Blendtec is theist money I ever spent at Costco. it was a little hard to put the money out but I love it!
Vitamix is the best. I have a 20 year old one that still works, but upgraded a couple of years ago to a newer model. It handle frozen fruit no problem for smoothies. Make humus all the time.
Please show how to reseason cast iron pan. I have a couple to do. I like my Blendec. It was an investment, for sure. Grill is a verb and BBQ is a noun, in my opinion. Lol
I like non-stick pans more than stainless steel. I just recently replaced my anodized aluminum (think Caphalon, but store brand) that I had for about 20 years. A couple of the pans that didn't get used as often were still serviceable so they were donated. I bought the new pans at Macy's when they were a huge 30 -50% off. I bought a couple of extra pieces that didn't come with the set like the dutch oven, a 2 quart saucepan and some extra skillets and still only spent about $350. I don't balk at that price since I know that I'll have them for a good long time. I've had my knives for longer and while I do need to take them to get sharpened or do it myself, they're still going strong.
Just got the Misen knife set. They have a deal right now for 20% off, but I used your code instead incase you get a kickback. Hope you do!
Your one of the few people who look beautiful with pink hair.
Just curious, how many pots and pans do you own? I always wonder how much is too much, but also know the difference sizes are important too!
BBQ….that which the most delicious of proteins are cooked to perfection. Fill it with charcoal and seasoned wood, light it on fire! Oil drum BBQ is the best. Cooking tri-tip …ahhh , those childhood memories of my dad and his no nonsense approach to feeding a hoard.
Grill, uses propane or electric, very pretty. 🙄
For making eggs in the cast iron your seasoning has to be well built up and your pan has to be preheated all the way to smoke Point, add plenty of fat, if your use butter the butter should brown as soon as it hits the pan and only add 1 egg per inch. If you have a 10 inch use no more than 10 eggs. Keep the eggs moving on the pan they will cook within a minute or 2. Turn off heat when they’re almost done and take out of the pan. I’ve always done this and have never had a problem. Cast iron isn’t meant to be “washed” after every use. This will actually prevent your seasoning from building. there’s nothing stuck on there then just wipe the pan out after every use If used daily. If you cook with it properly every time it will be 100% non stick. Cast iron gets better with time and if you use and care for it properly you will only ever have to season it 1 time.
I totally believe in investment in kitchen products you use all the time. I have an ankarsrum mixer, a blendtec blender, a couple fancy shun knives, and a couple calphalon pans. I've built these up over 15 years of being married and asking/telling what I want for each holiday. And every time I've replaced a cheap version I ask myself why I didn't buy it sooner.
i start with the lowest prices…..always!
Love the hair!
Tramontina has an all clad set of pots and pans that is much cheaper than the All Clad brand and they are super similar in all the tests I have seen them in. I own the Tramontina set and I LOVE them.
