🍬Toot is a favourite Norouz treat that is sure to sweeten your mouth and mood in welcoming Norouz 2022. Fellow Zoroastrians Mahshad & Azita hosted this fun and participative Zoom session, where they guide participants to create this treat while talking about Nowruz.
🛒Ingredients Needed:
– 1 cup ground almonds or ground pistachios
– 1/2 cup confectioners sugar
– 2 tablespoons rosewater
– 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
– 1/2 cup white granulated sugar or your choice of coloured sugar
– 2 tablespoons slivered pistachios or almonds
Mahshad Khosraviani is an active member of both the Irani and Parsi Communities in Toronto Canada and London UK.
Mahshad has been endowed with the honor of becoming the youngest female Zoroastrian Mobedyar in Iran, and the first in North America in 2012; she is also the only ordained Mobedyar in the Zoroastrian world who is recognized by both NAMC, as well as the Iranian mobed council. To boot, she is currently the Secretary for WZO Canada, and volunteers hers time to teach Sunday prayer/Avesta classes.
Azita Patel is an active member of the Greater San Francisco Bay Area Parsi community. She is the youngest member of ZANC’s Board of Directors. as well as an active member in Zoroastrian Youth of North America’s (ZYNA) Professional Development committee. Azita spends her free time gathering with friends and building bridges between the Irani and Parsi community in the Bay Area.
