Guys I did it like two days. Wanna know how? I just fasted for two days. After two days everything felt to sweet. I cant even eat that much sweets as before and it left me a disgusting to sweet taste in my mouth I had to wash it away with water. It helped me tremendously
I just gave up sugar a month ago, I'm 58 years old and a lifelong sugar addict. I cleared out my house of all products with sugars in them the day before my start day. I've found it so simple I wish I'd done it years ago. I completely cut out bread and chocolate too.However, I haven't cut out dairy, but, I have very low fat or fat free dairy. I don't like a savoury breakfast, but, I have overnight oats instead with pumpkin seeds and blueberries and that keeps me going. I just keep reminding myself that sugar is a useless food item offering no nutritional value, or as a friend said 'it's a poison'. I found my snacking almost disappeared, but, a hard boiled egg or a cube of low fat cheese was enough.
Does a teaspoon of good quality honey count as sugar?
I am going to document my experiment on the detox for the next 10 days I will keep you guys updated!

Iโm watching this because I am desperate. I need to eat something sweet every single day and it has totally screwed my diet and I have gained back a lot of the weight I lost. It makes me depressed. I feel like a failure.

I'm so stressed and anxious. I feel like sweets is a way out. Self destructive mindset has kept me from so many positive changes in life..this is very difficult to get through..I wish I could reset my mind..

While this advice is correct and beneficial, it's not simple to quit sugar cold turkey. You can feel very sick within the first three to five days. You have mood swings and cravings just like every other addiction. If you have to do this, I would recommend taking some time off or do it while you're on vacation just to make the switch easier on yourself.
Also, it's not enough to tell people to just quit eating one way and eat an entirely different way over night. Most people in the US don't know 1. How much sugar they actually consume, especially hidden sugars, 2. What substitutions or alternative foods they need to support their switch to sugar free eating, and 3. How to cook all of these new foods, and 4. How to have social support from their loved ones. I had to cook two separate dinners for years because my family was ok with me eating healthy, but "had to" eat their unhealthy food in front of me. Have you ever tried to go through Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas without any sugar?
I had to quit cold turkey for health reasons years back and it was gruelling. I am better now for sure, but these issues also need to be addressed. If I had to do it again, I would schedule some time off to do it, meal prep for at least two weeks of healthy meals, start vitamin supplementation to help with the lack of nutrition that might have occured from the unhealthy diet, and get support from loved ones while keeping your distance for the first couple of days. You don't want to bite your sweetheart's head off because you're cranky.
It's a big switch and I feel like this short video really downplayed the struggle that comes with going sugar free. It's possible and worth it, but a little bit of planning will help a lot.

I am lowering my diet with high added sugar. But I am raising Carbohydrates (Bread, pasta, etc) I am also raising my Protein levels.

When you eat 3500 calories and more than half of that is sugar but you still havenโt really eaten that much food, thatโs a problem
